Novaris has developed a new pluggable protection platform to launch multiple product ranges

The new 12mm design allows for a higher current surge protection and integrated status indication for quicker inspections. The additional terminals (when compared to the standard SL range) allow for interesting circuit configurations such a dual line protectors or remote monitoring circuits.

Three product lines have been launched so far:

 

SL2

The SL2 range augments the established SL product line, allowing for a higher surge current level of 20kA, status indication, and integrating remote alarm monitoring in the non-EC90 versions.

SLH2

The SLH2 provides 20kA of and real 2 stage protection with a high level of decoupling between the stages. The SLH2 is designed for power protection of field loads up to 2.5A. Remote alarm monitoring is standard on all SLH2 surge protection devices.

TCP

The Novaris Track Circuit Protector is designed specifically for railway signalling track circuits. The device is designed to coordinate with integrated protection built into most track circuit equipment by utilising a high impedance decoupling stage. The TCP offers 40kA of common mode protection whereas the protection integrated into much of this equipment is only rated at a few hundred amps. Status indication and remote alarm contacts are provided to prevent circuit downtime.
